I was born in Frankfurt / Main, Germany, and grew up in Wesel at the Lower Rhine Side, near the Dutch border.
Even as a young boy in school I found it hard to concentrate when comic books were in sight. Eventually I started to draw to be a bit more interesting to the girls.
After having done several internships in the advertising business, I began to study Visual Communication at Technical College Düsseldorf. I passed the exam in 1997, my final work being the illustrated book 'Poetry And All That Jazz' adapted from a text of Jack Kerouac.
I have been working as comic artist and illustrator for magazines, the advertising business and the internet ever since.
I have worked with the following agencies: BBDO, BBDO Interactive, Brandcom, Creativ Partner and XEO respectively, Feedmee, Image Plus, Kogag, Kw 43, Metazoa, MEC:Access, Pleon, Redcell, Sitzgruppe, Sponsorcom, THBWA Switzerland, Tomorrow Focus AG, Vok Dams, Zellteilung and others.

Publishing Houses: Cypress Verlag, Motoretta Verlag, Verlag Schwarzer Turm
I used to work with other artists in a studio community in the north of Düsseldorf,. Since spring 2008 I live in the beautiful city of Utrecht, the Netherlands, working in an atelier in the heart of the city.
I was a member of the art group 'Tapezisten'. I am a founding member of the comic anthology 'Herrensahne'. My first book 'Scoot Riders' was published in 2002, since then I have published various works on a regular basis in the anthologies of Schwarzer Turm Verlag, for example in 'Panik Elektro No. 2-5'. My latest book of autobiographical comics ‚Sperrbezirk‘ (2007 by Schwarzer Turm Verlag), won the ICOM Award 2008 for ‚the best realistic publication‘.
Since 2004 I have been a member of the Illustrators' Organisation (IO).
I love my job :)
